In ninth grade, Dr. Howells saw his eye doctor for an eye exam. While there he interviewed his optometrist to fulfill a requirement for a Boy Scout merit badge. After that interview, Dr. Howells told his father that he would like to become an optometrist. In 2006 Dr. Howells’ dream came true.
Dr. Howells and his wife have six children, five boys and a little girl. In their spare time, Dr. Howells and his wife love to take their kids rock climbing, biking, kayaking, or anything outdoors.
Dr. Howells works closely with Dr. David Petersen, M.D. and Dr. Paul Jeppsen, M.D. in providing high quality specialty eye care for children. As a team, these three doctors coordinate and collaborate, making sure that the proper level of care is given to the entire range of eye conditions, from screening exams and refractive errors to serious sight-threatening medical and surgical eye diseases.
Dr. Daniel C. Howells is a Pacific University College of Optometry graduate, 2006. He started his studies at the University of Utah and finished with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Science from Pacific University in Oregon.
