Dr. Wilkinson is a native of Utah, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Utah before attending medical school at the same institution. He completed his internship and residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Kentucky. Afterwards he completed fellowship training in Glaucoma at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He was in private practice in San Diego, California for six years before moving to the Rocky Mountain Eye Center in Salt Lake City in 1990. He specializes in the treatment of glaucoma but also has been actively involved in refractive surgery since 1986.

He performs Lasik, photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) and Conductive Keratoplasty (CK). He had Lasik performed on himself in 1999, and followed this with CK in 2003.

He enjoys doing general ophthalmology and referring to the other subspecialties if necessary. Dr. Wilkinson is accepting new patients and is on most insurance company’s panels who have presence in Utah.
